I have a Valentine's Day mani to show you all today! I wasn't quite sure where I was going with this, or how it was going to turn out, but I'm pretty happy with it! I'm sure I will have a few more lovey dovey manis before Valentine's Day, so be on the look out!
For this mani I started out wanting to do a skittle mani. I think I ended up about half way there. I used Zoya- Purity, a basic white, and Julep- Penelope, a light baby pink with a jellyish finish. Purity is on my middle and ring fingers, while Penelope is on my pointer and pinky. Three coats of each. I wanted to add a bit of sparkle so I used a JessiGeeWhiz glitter in Gift Wrap, which is from her Holiday 2012 Collection. Jessi makes loose, solvent resistant, nail art glitters that are so darn gorgeous. I find it's easiest to apply them if you just use a basic clear polish, and dip the brush right into the glitter. I cut out hearts from painters tape, applied it to the dry nail, then just applied the glitter and pulled it off. The other nails each have one coat of glitter. The sparkle doesn't show up as good as it does it real life. I really like how this turned out!
